Excerpt from the Book
Balance Sheet
Among the financial statements, the Balance Sheet is a financial document that reflects the total assets and liabilities of an organization so as for Poly’s Pet Products. According to Helfert (2001), “The balance sheet is one of the most important tools of information containing information on the cash or liquidity of a business”. The missing values from the balance sheet are calculated and the ways calculated are also explained as in Table 1. The balance sheet formula is given by Capital= Assets- Liabilities. Concerning the calculation done in Table 1, it can be concluded that the company’s assets are equivalent to its total liabilities and stockholder equity which satisfies the accounting rule of a balance sheet of zero balance. Also, it can be seen in Table 1 that the current assets of the company are more than current liabilities which indicates that the company will run smoothly and taken the expansion plan well in a meaningful way because of good share capital and fixed assets.
