However, digital tools can either increase or decrease the quality of work and productivity depending on the user (Green & Singleton, 2013). In addition, digital tools are helping to improve learning through better communication and innovative instruction strategies. However, some aspects of digital technology such as social media and mobile applications can acts as a distraction at work or at school (Lee, 2001). In this regard, this essay evaluates whether digital technology will make us more productive at work or school in general.
