The doctrine of salvation to me is the most crucial doctrine in the history of the church and the most important matter in the life of Christianity. Hence the understanding of the role of the Trinity is very crucial in knowing how salvation really applied to the life of a believer and the Christian faith. For I perceived that the reason why several Christians make little value of their Christian life is due to lack of clear and proper understanding of the works of the Trinity in their Salvation experiences and probably because the transaction was not properly done. These may be the same reason why most Christians are living a life of hypocrisy and void of power, because they understood stricken the role of the Trinity in the Economy of their salvation. Hence they don’t appropriate the efficacy of the power of Trinity in their salvation bargain. No wonder so many Christians resolved to other sources of power in times of crisis and difficulties.

No wander, they resolved to other sources of power in their times of crisis and difficulties.
The fact on the importance of the doctrine of salvation was elucidated by the Article Bible.org as they said that “Soteriology, the doctrine of salvation, must be the grandest theme in the Scriptures. It embraces all of time as well as eternity past and future. It relates in one way or another to all of mankind, without exception. It even has ramifications in the sphere of the angels. It is the theme of both the Old and New Testaments. It is personal, national, and cosmic”. But in all its beauty, we don’t seem to understand and appreciate the role the individual Persons of the Godhead play in our salvation economy.

TRINITY IN THE ECONOMY OF SALVATION
All of creation and all of the activities that goes on within the creation are join operation of the Trinity; just as seen in Genesis 1:26 when God said “let us make man in our image…” and even before then the opening of the chapter, it introduced the collective operation of the Trinity in the beginning of creation, when the scripture says “In the beginning…” (Genesis 1:1-3). Therefore if the creation was the collective work of the Trio, then salvation cannot be an exception, since salvation is the redemption of the creation which was created by the Trio which was marred by sin. So I believe also will the work of salvation be by the same Trio. But just as it seems in the creation the role of the Father was more conspicuous, so also in the economy of salvation the role of the Son seem more.
The Triune name of God signifies who God is; therefore considering the works of the Trinity as an economy is seeking to uncover and flesh out who God is doing in history. Lacugna sum it up better when she “… economy is the sphere of God’s condescension to flesh” (43). And it also helps us to “imagine the new world God is seeking to create through God’s power of redemption” (Meeks 77). Of course we know that salvation purpose is to create a new kingdom – the Kingdom of God. The power of redemption is to change the falling nature of man from the effects of sin to that of the divine nature through what Christ has done on the cross. There is an exchange in the salvation work – Christ exchanged his righteousness for our sin and took upon himself our sins, so that we might be clothed with his own righteousness – this is actually buying and selling (economy). And we cannot receive the salvation and works of Christ except with the currency of faith. Hence faith is the currency with which we use in obtaining the salvation that Christ has worked for and which God is selling unto all humanity. And Grace is what gave us the qualification to get involved in this economy of God.
