Excerpt from the Book

First Section

Chasse and Vincente discussed the concept of knowledge in the book. The explanation given implied the need for self-introspection as individuals on our levels and depth of knowledge. Introspection will make people to find ways to search for knowledge on the things they do not know. On the issues which people think they know they must critically analyse the pertained knowledge to find if it is credible and working knowledge. According to Wikipedia.com quoting from the Oxford English Dictionary knowledge is, "expertise acquired by a person through experience or education, the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject." Wikipedia .com adds that," what is known in a particular field in total, facts and information?" From the above definition knowledge is gained through several ways, which include, through learning at schools, college and universities, through experience that a person gains in his day to day activities or through experiments and researches.

The emphasis as portrayed in the book is for us to analyse our current level of knowledge. Is the knowledge we have accurate; are there other areas we need to acquire more knowledge, is the knowledge we have transferable into real life circumstances? What else don't we know? If you do not know something is it worth for you to know it? A person must not just search for any type of knowledge or information. The knowledge you search for must be the knowledge you wish to use.
