Who or what is to be blamed for hunger? This report concentrates on four important causes for hunger, because there are many factors which can lead to hunger. It will refer to the word hunger, its causes and consequences. Therefor, four causes will be explained in detail.
Researches bring to light that poverty is the principal cause of hunger. Furthermore, a study about world population trends describes the dramatic growth of the world population, which is another cause of global hunger. Another survey mentions the problem of food waste primarily in rich countries. Last but not least the increasing demand for meat is another problem.
Finally the last sections of the paper include a discussion about a set of solution attempts to combat global hunger, followed by a recommendation what individuals should do in future in terms of the global hunger problem.

Research Objectives and Key Topics
This report aims to examine the principal causes of global hunger and evaluate potential strategies to mitigate this crisis. By analyzing socio-economic and environmental factors, the paper seeks to increase awareness and identify actionable steps for individuals and policymakers to address food insecurity.
- Analysis of the correlation between poverty and hunger.
- Evaluation of the impact of global population growth on food availability.
- Investigation of food wastage in industrialized nations.
- Examination of meat consumption patterns and their influence on global grain distribution.
- Review of institutional approaches and humanitarian efforts to combat hunger.
Excerpt from the Book
3.4 Rising demand for meat
As people on global average get richer, more and more they can fund their rising demand for meat. It is even estimated the demand will have doubled in 2025. However, the grain fields producing crops for the animals are in competition with the fields that produce crops, to be eaten directly by humans. (Zukunftsentwicklungen (2015) - Entwicklungsländer vor neuen Krisen)
As the production of a certain amount of meat needs way too many resources, there would be plenty food for all, if the world would became vegan. Or to put it more precisely, if a quarter of the world’s population received his calories from animal products, only 3.2 billion people would have food to eat. If the whole world became vegan, there would be plenty food to feed all of us. Within the context of meat production and consumption, the crop is used inefficiently as it could be consumed directly by people. Instead, the grain is fed to animals to make the grade in terms of the rising demand for meat.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the core subject of this report?
This report explores the persistent issue of global hunger, examining why it exists despite sufficient global food production and who holds the responsibility for addressing it.
What are the central thematic fields covered?
The report centers on four main causes: systemic poverty, rapid population growth, excessive food waste in developed nations, and the inefficient resource allocation caused by rising meat consumption.
What is the primary objective of this work?
The objective is to clarify the principal causes of hunger, educate the reader on the complexity of the problem, and suggest ways to combat it through awareness and action.
Which methodology is applied?
The author uses a research-based review approach, utilizing reports from international organizations such as the UN, the FAO, and the World Food Programme to substantiate the arguments.
What is discussed in the main body?
The main body defines hunger and health risks, breaks down the four identified causes of hunger with supporting statistical data, and discusses potential solutions.
How would you describe the main keywords?
The work is defined by terms such as Global Hunger, Poverty, Food Waste, Sustainability, and Humanitarian Aid.
How does meat consumption specifically contribute to hunger?
The report argues that grain fed to livestock could be consumed directly by humans; producing meat requires significantly more land, water, and energy, thereby reducing the net amount of available food.
Why is "hidden hunger" considered a dangerous phenomenon?
Hidden hunger, or micronutrient deficiency, is dangerous because it is often overlooked as it can exist even when an individual consumes enough calories, leading to long-term irreversible health effects.
