The formation of personality, which is the essence of socialization, is a long and complex process in which interpersonal relationships have a primary, though not exclusive role. This especially is the main question posed in this essay, or namely: how do we regards interaction, as a problem, or as a promise and the context of Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" – of what kind is the interaction shown there?
Generally speaking, Interaction represents the process in which the person controls a certain social experience and forms its major characteristics under the influence of an active impact exerted by his/her social circle. Moreover, as subjects of all social processes and changes, and as the purpose of everything that is done in the society, people are united in a variety of communities – ethnical, religious, class, etc. In all of these unions, they interact – via personal contact, confidence, public sharing; all these being replaced by contract or interest, with increasing distance between the concrete work and the product of labor, increase inequality, power and wealth. Thus, the interaction became not only a promise, but also a problem.
