Excerpt from the Publication
Corporate social responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is the actions that an organization undertakes to do for the community surrounding it or the good it does for the general public good without expecting anything in return, though it pays well. This company has had a campaign of taking care of the environment, and seemingly it ha been ironical on what has been happening from its end. It has got critics who have identified them to have done more bad than good to the environment. One of the examples of the bad that it has done is the incident of the gulf. This entails the oil spill that happened in its oil extraction area in Mexico. They used to extract petroleum oil from the underground of deep waters, and then it spilt. The unimaginable picture of the four million barrels of crude oil in the ecosystem caused people to lose trust in them even the more. The negative effects the oil can cause to the ecosystem is uncountable.
