For Somalia, the usage of mass media particularly websites in governmental institutions have expanded at significant rates over the past several years, institutions related to the foreign policy have provided significant development to management of the modern media and subsequently it’s rising from the ashes of the pre-war media system.(...) According to one of the local staff of the Somali Embassy in Ankara he described the work of the website of the embassy “For the embassy, there are several activities related to managing the communication to and from the Embassy which we undertake in order to inform our public both internal and external; and this provides us a constant and swift flow of information from and to our public; hence our websites is really the corner stone that we have for getting connected to our public.”
He also added that they pay a lot to generate activities which are quite innovationist and daring the visitors of the website to be attracted to it while it comes all the way to have a database where we can trace back all our visitors and what was the purpose of their surfing. While considering whether their needs were met or not. Here we have a system which is designed to hold a huge database for quite long time; and allows to us to trace back whatever related to our website.
