Safety management in construction projects is very important to avoid accidents on site. The data collection for this thesis is through a well-structured questionnaire, administered to the respondents. This thesis includes the result of the findings, recommendations and conclusions.
The aim of this study is to assess safety management on construction sites with the view to determining its impact on delivery of construction projects in Ondo State, Nigeria. The proposed objectives are to: assess the safety management practices on construction sites; examine the safety provisions in the Nigerian construction industry; examine the factors affecting safety management on construction sites; evaluate the impact of safety management on project delivery.
The study will focus on safety management in the construction industries. The data collection shall be limited to construction firms in Ondo State, Nigeria. The construction firms shall be those who are currently registered with Ondo State Ministry of Works and this is due to the increase in construction works in public sectors in Ondo State.
